Part-Time and Full-Time Working Chemical Applicators

The primary responsibility of the Crew Leader position is to assure that clients receive quality landscape maintenance services. This is accomplished by coordinating and monitoring the performance of the work crew so that quality standards are obtained. The responsibilities and requirements of the Working Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader include, but are not limited to the following:

  • At least 2 years of experience in residential/commercial lawn maintenance mowing and chemical applications.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Crew Leader.

  • Class E or C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR consent form will be required upon start date).

  • Small equipment experience.

  • At least 2 good professional references.

  • Manage time tracking of your crew.

  • Operate skid sprayer and push spreader.

  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Handle general maintenance on assigned equipment.

  • Ability to train new workers.

  • Dependable.

  • Able to lift over 50 lbs.

  • Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility.

  • Wear appropriate work boots.

  • Familiar with company policies contained and set forth, include safety guidelines/standards.

  • Use assigned tools and equipment in proper/safe manner.

  • Assist loading and unloading work trucks and trailers.

  • Be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.

  • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.

  • Be able to lift 50lbs of weight frequently throughout assigned work day.

  • Maintain physical fitness level necessary to complete assigned job tasks.

  • Must be able to work outside for numerous hours in various types of weather.

  • Polite and professional manners.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Reliable transportation to job site/office.

  • Report to work at the assigned time and assigned location, perform duties as assigned.

  • Expert in the use of basic maintenance hand tools: leaf rake, broom, hoe, shovel, cultivator, water hose, quick coupler key, hand pruners, hedge shears and refuse totes.

  • Expert in the use of basic power equipment used for landscape maintenance: hedge trimmers, line trimmers, walk behind lawn mower, zero-turn mower, and leaf blower.

  • Perform regular safety inspections on vehicle and trailer.

  • Communicate w/ clients in a respectful and professional manner.

  • Communicate w/ workers in a respectful and professional manner concerning the progress of tasks.

  • Able to meet company production rates and standards.
