Spring Aeration (Bermuda & Zoysia Grass)

aerating-lawn-1024x633.jpg

Core aeration is an important part of any healthy thick lawn improvement program. An aeration machine is used to extract small cores of sod and soil. Those plugs are then left on the lawn so their beneficial microorganisms will break down thatch.

The process helps water, fertilizer, organic matter and oxygen reach the root system. It’s recommended for compacted, heavily-used turf. We recommend core aeration atleast one to two times each season. Bermuda, Zoysia grass are especially sensitive to aeration, and respond well to treatment(s).
